How do I look after jewellery?
Avoid swimming or bathing while wearing jewellery, and remove rings when washing your hands. Swimming pools that contain chlorine and salt water can tarnish precious metals and gemstones by dulling or eroding them. Soapy water when bathing and showering can also leave a thin film which makes the metal seem dull. Finally be sure not to spray perfume over your jewellery. Use a Jewellery Cloth from time to time. These cloths are impregnated with a solution that helps prevent the metal from tarnishing. They are also the best way to keep your gold or silver items looking there best by gently rubbing.
